Meet John. A 24 year old white collar worker with a 20 minute commute by public transportation. He wishes he could read more efficiently on the way to work, but finds that carrying his work documents along with some pleasure reading can be too much of a hassle when dealing with a fast-paced schedule. Let’s see how his life would change with the Starburst Reader.
After getting ready to go to work, John leaves his apartment and walks to his bus stop.
He pulls out his Reader and clicks on the bus map feature, which shows him that the next bus going downtown is still about fifteen minutes away, so he decides to get a head start on reviewing the documents he needs to process for the day.
John comes across several interesting points within the document. He double-taps the screen to pull up the toolbox, selects the highlighter, and drags his finger across the phrase to mark it for later.
He’s really quite engrossed in reading the document and loses track of time. Fortunately, his Reader alerts him that the bus is just about here. He looks up to see it coming down the road, and boards for his long commute.
As he gets on the bus, a tag within his Reader notifies the bus driver via bluetooth that he has a bus pass, and displays his photo on a small monitor attached to the bus.
He finds a seat and makes himself comfortable for the long ride ahead.
He decides to put off reading the rest of his work documents for later, and pulls up a murder mystery he’d been reading.
He comes across a latin phrase that he doesn’t recognize. He turns on the translator and selects the unfamiliar phrase.
John reads for a while, but accidentally falls asleep while reading.
As the bus nears John’s stop for his workplace, the Reader vibrates to alert him that his stop is near. He promptly wakes up and gets off the bus.
At work, John wants to prepare himself for his upcoming meeting, so he pulls out his Reader and reviews the highlights he made earlier.
John has a great meeting, and can’t wait to return to his murder mystery on the bus ride home.
