NASA Capstone ProjectDesigned and developed a cuff-mounted tool that supports the execution of planned science and operation activities during planetary surface missions at NASA with a group of five students for an eight-month CMU HCII Capstone Thesis Project.

Collaborative ShoppingWorked on a five-person team to design a solution for collaborative shopping: a digital table on a software platform named Peruse, where preferences are stored in personal spaces such that users can easily view overlaps in interests and dislikes.

QuickEvalQuickEval is a web application for online peer evaluations. It was created as a Junior Project in the Information Systems program at Carnegie Mellon. I was the Design Lead in a team of four other students.

Starburst eReaderFor a Gestural Interaction project in the course, Basic Interaction (taught by Jamin Hegemen), our group designed an e-reader with commuters as a target market. This was done in Spring 2008, before the release of the iPad.

Facebook Event PlanningWorked on a three-person team in a course called Social Web taught by Robert Kraut and Jason Hong. The concept is a facebook application that promotes social collaboration by exploring ways of increasing motivation to attend and contribute.

Nadia SalonI’m currently creating a website for a local nail salon using HTML5 and CSS3. Features include pure css text gradients, google’s font directory, hover animations, and updated syntax. Site will be officially launched in mid August 2010.

Sassy's Nail SpaI redesigned a website for Nail Spa and Salon in Western Pennslyvania. After the launch of the new site in May 2009, there was an increase in unique visitors by over 400% and an average of about 4 new customers per week through the contact form.

NASA Capstone ProjectWorking with a group of five students for an eight-month Capstone Thesis Project in Carnegie Mellon’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute with a task to design an efficient planning interface for real-time execution of human space missions at NASA.

The CutI helped create an online presence for Carnegie Mellon’s first music magazine, The Cut. The site includes many student-written articles in XHTML to be indexed through search engines, a PHP contact form, and information about staff.

CMU Donut DashHelped create a web site to support my fraternity’s annual philanthropy, Donut Dash, where contestants run a mile, eat 12 donuts, then finish another mile. The site helped us raise over $5000 dollars with mostly paypal donations.

Team LuminaDesign logos for my Master’s Capstone Project team name and mobile execution device during our work with NASA. We branded all of our deliverables including the device itself, which is to be worn on the cuff of Astronauts during Extra-Vehicular Activities on planetary surfaces.

Rockstarz Summer Camp ClinicI was contracted to work with a new summer camp, Rockstarz, which sends professional musicians to traditional summer camps for a weeks worth of instruction, recording, and live music. They wanted a logo that appealed to kids ages 7 – 17.

Greek Life BrochureDesigned CMU’s first Greek Life Brochure, a 45 page booklet educating students and parents about the advantages of Fraternity and Sorority life. Over 2,000 copies were printed and distributed to incoming students and it is currently published online.

Propel Charter SchoolsCreated for Advanced Typography III taught by Kristin Hughes. We were contracted to create an advertisement, a series, and a poster for Propel Charter Schools. After visiting the school, I choose to focus on their unique ability to adapt to the student’s learning patterns.

Phnom PenhTeam project with Thomas where we had 1 week to create an info poster and t-shirt about Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The city has seen nothing but war and fleeting governance in the past few decades, yet they are currently thriving through tourism.

Pittsburgh Summer Events PosterDesigned a poster to help college students find summer activities in the Pittsburgh area. I used symbols for bus numbers to help people find their way to an event through public transportation, and to signify when an event was within walking-distance from campus.

EternamI created this abstract digital art piece for fun in 2004. The render took around 4 hours, and the post-work on Photoshop contained over 60 layers. I am always reminded of a junkyard when I look back on this work. I used a lot of jagged edges to give it an unusual texture.
